Fridge is The Special Box; We Put Our food Inside and They Can Be Fresh as we Just Bought Them Have you ever wondered how it does that? Well, it's in a section called the refrigerator compressor. The end product is you learn something about this cool machine and how it works!
It is, indeed the heart, of any given refrigerator. A -- itty-bitty machine that is used to pump a special gas called refrigerant through the fridge. This gas has a very important part to play as it takes away the heat from food and cools them down. This special gas along with that compressor keeps our food fresh for a long time.
The compressor operates by pressurizing the gas up, force it into a high pressure fuel. And by the time we pressurize that gas, it gets really hot—hotter than our environment. This hot gas then flows through tubes in the outside of the fridge. They are known as condenser coils. The warm gas passes via these loopings and also is cooled back by transforming to fluid. This is a critical process as it sets the refrigerant up for its next cooling cycle.
The next stage is the liquid refrigerant flowing into a component called an "expansion valve. The purpose of this valve is to reduce the pressure on the refrigerant, so that vapour can return liquid. As it does so, the gas absorbs heat from inside the refrigerator (where all your food and drink is), cooling everything down. Fridge keeps food fresh in this way! The compressor sends the cooled gas back to the fridge so that this phase repeats. It's a never-ending cycle.
Reciprocating Compressor – Is the most common type of compressor in fridges Rotary (vane) Compressor A reciprocating compressor is similar to how the engine of a car works, meaning that it compresses refrigerant gas by using one moving part up and down. That movement helps spread out the gas through the system. By contrast, the rotary compressor uses a truck to crush in addition gas. Homogenizers: Both kinds are good, just works in a different way.
The compressor, like any other machine has to be in perfect condition when you want it. A refrigerator will not cool correctly and food can spoil prematurely if it goes out. To get the best performance out of it throughout a year, one must clean its condenser coils once every 12 months. This dust and dirt can cause the coils to labour hard which may lead them overheating.
Also, make sure to monitor your fridge temperature every now and again. A good example is when the temperature of your home seems too warm, in which case it can be a sign that the compressor may no longer do its job properly. You should also listen for loud or unusual noises from your refrigerator. Small sounds could indicate things are not easily and bring a troubling sound. When that happens you know to call a professional and there done.
